Et Misericordia (And Mercy)

is the sixth movement in Johann Sebastian Bach’s setting of the Latin Magnificat.

In keeping with late Baroque conventions, the work has the form of a cantata, so the text is divided into several movements of different instrumentation. The duet “Et misericordia” is set for alto and tenor.
