Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 – 1767)

His most famous works are those in the three collections entitled musique de table (“Table Music”). They were apparently published in 1733 as accompanying music for dining. In reality, however, they are intended for more general use. Each group contains a French-style overture, an Italian concerto and chamber music, including a quartet, a trio sonata and a solo sonata.
